Why do Typhoon-class submarines have swimming pools inside? Isn't that a waste of space that could be used to store more food?

The submarine is basically a container, so it can hold a lot of things. The pools are designed to keep the submarines fresh. The tanks are filled with water and then cooled with seawater. The water is pumped out of the tanks and then the water is pumped back in. The water is kept at a constant temperature and the water doesn't evaporate

Yes. For operational reasons, the torpedo tubes are on the sides of the submarine. The swimming pools are located at the rear of the submarine

It is indeed a waste of space. However, a submarine can easily store enough food to feed a large number of people, and the submarine can also easily carry out various scientific research. The only problem is that the submarines are unable to go on long missions, and they must be able to return to their bases in one piece. Also, submarines are not as strong as surface

In addition to the energy and food storage, the pool is used for training purposes, especially for the crew

Although the swimming pool is small, it is important to keep the submarine's design and functionality in mind. In order to ensure that the submarine can operate effectively and efficiently, it is essential to have a large amount of space. The submarine's design and function must be taken into account

When a submarine is deployed in a combat area, it must be able to maintain a safe distance from the shore. To do that, it is necessary to have a large water space inside the submarine. The swimming pool is a large space that is used to store food, and it is also used for the crew to cool off and rest. The pool is also a safe space
