Why do people in America generally have more food allergies?

Most Americans have allergies, but the severity varies. Some people have allergies to foods, but the symptoms are mild. Others have severe allergies that cause them to miss work or school, or to have an adverse reaction to medications or to other things. The number of people with allergies is increasing. A small percentage of people have allergic reactions to just a few foods, such as peanuts
